Terms & Conditions

The rules for using Book My Beats

Last updated: July 20, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") create a legally binding agreement between you and Book My Beats ("Book My Beats", "we", "us", "our") governing your use of bookmybeats.com and the Book My Beats mobile app (together, the "Platform"). The Platform lets people discover and book tickets for live events and sports venues, and lets organisers ("Hosts") create, publish and sell tickets to their own events. By creating an account, or otherwise accessing or using the Platform as a "User" or a "Host", you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and - if acting on behalf of a business - confirm you're authorised to bind that business to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.

Book My Beats, the User and the Host are each a "Party" and together the "Parties".

1. What Book My Beats is

Book My Beats is a marketplace that connects Hosts with people looking to attend events and book venues - including concerts and live events, as well as sports venues like cricket turfs and indoor futsal courts. We provide the technology to list events, sell tickets, take payments and issue entry passes; we are not ourselves the organiser of Host-created events, and a User's purchase of a ticket is an agreement directly between that User and the Host.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent/guardian's consent, to create an account
  • Sign-in is handled via a one-time password (OTP) sent by WhatsApp to your mobile number - we don't offer email/password or social sign-in. You're responsible for keeping your mobile number and account secure, and for all activity that happens under it.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date

2.1 Hosting events

Anyone with an account can switch into managing events as a Host - a separate "Brand Page" or business sign-up isn't required. Subject to these Terms, we grant Hosts a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to create, publish and promote events, and to sell tickets and collect sale proceeds for them through the Platform. Before you can receive payouts, we may collect additional information from you to verify your identity and eligibility to use the Platform (see Section 5); you agree to provide this information accurately and to keep it up to date.

3. Booking tickets

  • Ticket prices are set by the Host. A platform fee and applicable GST are added at checkout and shown in full before you pay
  • Payments are processed securely through our payment partner, Cashfree. Once payment is confirmed, your tickets are issued instantly as an M-Ticket with a unique QR code, viewable under My Bookings, which the Host or venue staff scan for entry
  • Some events require the Host's manual approval before your booking is confirmed - your payment is held until the Host approves or declines your request
  • You're responsible for verifying an event's details and any entry conditions on its event page before booking. We're not responsible for the accuracy, legality, safety or quality of a Host's event, a change of venue, or the Host's decision to cancel, postpone or reschedule
  • Your M-Ticket QR code is your entry pass - treat it like a ticket and don't share it publicly. The ticket-splitting feature lets you transfer specific tickets from a booking to another Book My Beats user of your choosing (see Section 8); you're responsible for who you transfer tickets to

4. Cancellations & refunds

Tickets are non-cancellable and non-refundable once a booking is confirmed - please review the event details carefully before you pay. We don't offer user-initiated cancellations, and Hosts don't set their own refund policy on the Platform.

The only exception is if the Host cancels the event itself. In that case, we'll manage the refund process for affected bookings manually and return the amount to your original payment method. We are not responsible for a Host's decision to cancel, postpone or change an event, but we'll handle the resulting refund on the Host's behalf as described above.

5. Creating & hosting events

If you use the Platform to create and sell tickets to your own events, you additionally agree that:

  • You're solely responsible for the accuracy of your event listing, for delivering the event as described, and for complying with all applicable laws - including obtaining any venue, safety, fire, or local-authority permits and authorisations needed to hold the event
  • Tickets to your event are non-cancellable and non-refundable to the attendee once booked. If you need to cancel or postpone your event, give attendees and us prompt notice - we'll manage the resulting refunds to attendees manually on your behalf (see Section 4)
  • To receive payouts, you must complete payout onboarding - your name, contact details, account type, PAN and GSTIN where applicable, and bank or UPI details - through our payout partner, Cashfree. We may decline, pause or reverse a payout to investigate fraud, a payment dispute, or a violation of these Terms
  • The Base Price of a ticket is set by you. We collect a platform fee (currently 10% of the Base Price) plus applicable GST directly from the User at checkout, on top of your Base Price - this fee is not deducted from what you receive. You're paid out the full Base Price for each sold ticket, less any payment-gateway processing charges applied by Cashfree to the settlement. Our current fee schedule may change from time to time; we'll show you the applicable rate before it applies to a new booking
  • You're responsible for managing attendee approvals, discounts, FAQs, scanning tickets at entry, and any refunds you choose to offer for your events

6. Digi Pass wallet & complimentary tickets

Hosts can top up a Digi Pass token wallet (GST applied at checkout) and use tokens - one token per ticket - to issue complimentary tickets or record offline/cash sales through the Platform without routing that payment through Cashfree. Digi Pass tokens have no cash value outside the Platform, are non-transferable between accounts, and are non-refundable except where required by law. A grant fails if your token balance or the event's ticket-tier availability is insufficient.

7. Ticket splitting & transfers

The ticket-splitting feature lets you generate a link that transfers one or more of your booked tickets to another Book My Beats user's account; the link expires after 7 days if unclaimed. This is a direct transfer of ticket ownership between users - Book My Beats doesn't process, facilitate or take a fee on any payment the sender and recipient privately arrange between themselves for this, and we make no representation about, and take no responsibility for, such private arrangements. The Platform doesn't operate a resale marketplace, and using ticket transfers to scalp tickets for undue profit or to circumvent a Host's stated resale terms is prohibited (see Section 9).

8. Discounts & promotions

Discount codes are created either by a Host for their own event or, occasionally, by us for platform-wide promotions. Codes are subject to the validity period, usage limits and eligibility set at creation, and may be withdrawn or invalidated in cases of misuse.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Create fake, misleading or fraudulent events or listings
  • Publish events that promote sexually explicit content, unlawful activity, or violent extremism
  • Resell or transfer tickets in a way that violates a Host's stated terms, or scalp tickets for undue profit
  • Circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with security features of the Platform, including QR/ticket verification
  • License, sell, rent, sublicense or otherwise make the Platform available to any third party outside your own permitted use, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its systems
  • Scrape, crawl or harvest data from the Platform, or use its content to train machine-learning or AI models, without our permission
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code, or content that infringes anyone's intellectual property or is unlawful, hateful, abusive or discriminatory
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law

If we tell you that a specific activity is prohibited on the Platform, you agree to stop it immediately.

10. Content & intellectual property

You retain ownership of photos, event descriptions, and other content you upload, but you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service (for example, showing your event banner to attendees). You confirm you have the necessary rights to any content you upload.

Other than the limited rights we grant you under these Terms, all rights, title and interest in the Platform - including its software, design, and the "Book My Beats" name and logo - belong to and remain exclusively with us. We may use, without any obligation to you, any feedback or suggestions you send us to improve the Platform, and we may analyse aggregated usage data to develop, support and improve our service.

11. Third-party services

The Platform relies on third-party services to operate - including Cashfree (payments and payouts), Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (OTP delivery), Amazon Web Services (cloud storage), and Google Maps Platform (resolving venue locations Hosts provide) - and links to third-party destinations such as our WhatsApp, Instagram and app store listings. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we're not responsible for their content or conduct.

12. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We act as an intermediary between Hosts and attendees and don't guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or actual occurrence of any Host-created event, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Party will be liable to the other for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform, however caused. Subject to applicable law, each Party's total liability to the other arising out of these Terms is limited to the platform fees or Digi Pass amounts you paid to us (for a Host), or the platform fee you paid on your bookings (for a User), in the 12 months before the claim arose.

13. Indemnification

You'll indemnify and hold Book My Beats, and our officers, employees and agents, harmless against any third-party claim arising from your use of the Platform in violation of these Terms, provided that we promptly notify you of the claim, you control its defence and settlement, and we cooperate with you as reasonably requested. This doesn't apply to claims arising from our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

14. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if we believe you've violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or exposed us to legal liability, or for other legitimate business reasons, with notice where reasonably practicable. You may stop using the Platform, or request account deletion, at any time - see our Data Deletion Instructions. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination - including Content & Intellectual Property, Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and this Section - will continue to apply after your account is closed.

15. Force majeure

We're not liable for any failure or delay in the Platform's availability caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, government action, pandemics, internet or telecommunications failures, or other events we couldn't reasonably have prevented.

16. Governing law & grievance redressal

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts having jurisdiction over our registered place of business. In accordance with applicable Indian law, you may direct grievances to the contact details below.

17. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced here, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform, and supersede any prior agreement on the same subject. We're independent parties - nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect, and our failure to enforce a right isn't a waiver of it.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
